The Math League, obviously is a competition, which select a winner among all the candidates. Before I came here, I was a luays worming about myself since I wasn’t really good at math. But to my surprise, the most important thing of the Math League is to learn through the process, and they gave a certification to everyone who participated in. That truly gave me the courage to keep going and helped me understood how natal participation is. Talking about what I did and what I learnt during the process. There are mainly four rounds: individual, relay, team and speed. The two personal rounds. Individual and speed are somehow difficult for me, but I believe they are really easy for some people. Therefore I decided to put more effort on the relay and team round. During these two rounds, my group members communicated with foreign students fluently, as well as talking with Chinese students around. I also join the group discussion, but I didn’t spoke to foreign students much, due to the fact that I’m a bit shy and I have the fear of not understanding what they said. But in the end, the result came out to be nice, and I believe it was because of the effectiveness of our communication. So here I want to thank those in my team who shared their passion with foreign students. Moreover, not only enjoy the process of cooperating with my group members, but also I learnt a lot from them. I learnt several new ways of solving problems, have to think out of the box, and how to transfer ideas into formulas. I should admit that I got more things in these days than what I learnt from school in the past year! Now Ranxi Sun is going to talk about the second part.

#1: Just like what Coco said, we didn’t purely join a contest in Math League, but also learnt a lot extra things. We had new lectures that I had never gone through before. The Catalan numbers, the knot theory, and most of the other points are very unfamiliar for me. I personally think that I can never learn these thing at school, especially with this kind of American learning style, since it differed a lot from our traditional classes.
#2: As you know, American and Chinese learning style is very different. As I observed, American classes are mote open and casual. We were not requited to sit straight all the time, and we were allowed to ask questions whenever we have one. Just make an example, we could expand a whole mind map in our head here, but not only stick with the core message that teachers taught. This also encouraged me to learn more and more knowledge related, and I believe this will help in the future, when I’m studying somewhere abroad.
#3: Talking about like and dislikes. I love most of the classes, as they are interesting, practical, and challenging. I especially like the active atmosphere in these classes, and how the teachers connected math with life. This kind of teaching way and the content made me eager to listen, but not wanting to fall asleep. This is also we main reason why I love the classes in first week. However, people likes and dislikes, and I as a normal, wanted to show my dislikes toward some classes. For the classes on the before yesterday, the Chinese language and way of teaching lack the localness. Further mote, the topics cannot grab my attention. Maybe that is because I have a strange personal interest. But all in all, the lectures are beneficial, and we actually discussed about them after class. We also have some interesting activities after class.
